PRE TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Skin Prep List

Pre-Treatment Instructions for:

Permanent Cosmetics: i.e. Micro Blading, Powder Ombré, Eyeliner, Nano Strokes

 Everyone’s skin is unique and heals differently. Our prep, actual process, and aftercare all work hand in hand. It’s very important that you take a brief moment to go over your skin prep. Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure. The instructions below are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during your service. Excessive bleeding during your service can dilute and expel the pigment, leading to poor results. 

  • Review our BBBN policies 

  • Bring headphones if you like your own jams

  • if Diabetic, pre-diabetic, Gestational diabetes please bring a doctors note.

  • Must be 6 months out of chemo 

  • MUST have clear skin in the brow area: No pimples, heat rash, moles, skin tags etc

  •  pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis to the brow shape you like no less than 5 days prior. 

  • Do not tan two weeks prior or have sunburned face

  •  Do not have any type of facial/peel 2 weeks prior to treatment

  •  Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinol products one month prior to treatment

  •  Do not work out the day of the procedure.

  • Do not have botox 3 weeks prior

  • Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners)

  •  Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days before the procedure.

In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:

  •  Do not drink alcohol 24 - 48 hours before your tattoo

  • Do not consume coffee before your procedure

  • Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen( Advil), Midol, Excedrin, Motrin, Naproxen, Aleve—5 days for pain relief (this thins the blood)

  • Do not schedule during your monthly cycle, you’ll feel more discomfort. 

  •  Eat at least 20 mins before your appointment.

Lip Blush + Lip Neutralization

If you've had any history of cold sores / blisters / herpes (even as a child) or if you're unsure you have it, you must have your physician prescribe you with Zovirax, Valtrex or Famvir to take 2 days before the procedure, the day of your procedure and 2 days after the procedure and repeat on all visits.

*Lip fillers/injections must be done at least 4 weeks BEFORE your lip blush appointment.

*No alcohol or caffeine / coffee 24 hours prior.

*Avoid blood thinning medication such as Aspirin, Midol, Excedrin, Ibuprofen (Advil), Motrin, Naproxen, Aleve—5 days before and 1 day following your appointment.

*Moisturize and exfoliate your lips everyday for 1 week prior to your appointment. If you are scheduling for Lip neutralization  (dark lip correction) use honey, lemon, and sugar as a exfoliating scrub to help the discoloration.

*Do not schedule during your monthly cycle, you’ll feel more discomfort. 

*Eat at least 20 mins before your appointment.

Eyelash Extensions

  • Please come with clean lashes. Only use oil free makeup remover; no oily eyelids and foreheads please.

  • Do not come with lash strip glue, eye liner eyeshadow, or glitter. 

Hyaluron Lip Filler Skin Prep. 

*Please Read! 

Using a mixture of sugar and coconut oil to exfoliate your lips the week before treatment; do not use vitamin E oil because it will promote bleeding.

Drink plenty of water before treatment for the best results.

Anti inflammatory supplements & medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and others should be discontinued the week before your treatment.

Be sure to NOT drink or eat garlic two days prior; instead eat pineapples if you’re not allergic 2-3 times a day 1-2 days prior. If you’re anemic or prone to bruising you can purchase Arnica and take it a day before the treatment for the best results; it’s a homeopathic supplement used to treat skin conditions such as bruising. You can find Arnica is the drug stores if needed. ITS SUPER IMPORTANT THAT YOU DRINK PLENTY OF WATER BEFORE AND AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE. Since hyaluronic acid is a hydrophilic molecule that attaches to water, water is necessary for the best results.
