Skin Prep List
Pre-Treatment Instructions for:
❌ DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE OR HAVE:
• Pregnant or nursing
• Diabetic (unless you have a doctor’s clearance note)
• Currently undergoing chemotherapy, or have had chemotherapy within the last 6 months
• A history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring (please contact me directly to discuss your eligibility)
• Active viral infections and/or contagious diseases
• Epilepsy or seizure disorders
• A pacemaker or serious heart condition
• An organ transplant recipient
• Skin irritations near the treatment area (acne, rash, sunburn, etc.)
• Psoriasis or eczema in the brow area
• Currently sick (cold, flu, etc.)
• Used Accutane within the past 12 months
• Taken antibiotics within the past 2 weeks
• Had a chemical peel or glycolic acid facial within the past 30 days
• Had Botox in the forehead or brow area within the past 3 months
• Poor general health, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or any health condition that weakens the immune system or delays healing

Be sure the area to be tattooed is clear of outbreaks like pimples.
⚠️ If you are diabetic, pre-diabetic, or had gestational diabetes, you must bring a doctor’s clearance to your appointment.
📋 PRE-APPOINTMENT SKIN PREP
You’ll get the best healed results when your skin is healthy, calm, and free from irritation or harsh products.
• Do not schedule your procedure within 2 weeks of any big event, photoshoot, or vacation—your brows will go through a healing process that includes scabbing, darkening, and softening
• Eat at least 20 minutes before your appointment
• Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle if you're sensitive to pain
• Arrive with clean skin and no makeup in or around the brow area
• You may bring headphones to help relax
STOP THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

5 Days Prior:

No Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)

No Aleve, Midol, Naproxen

NoExcedrin or similar NSAIDs
(These thin the blood and affect pigment retention)
7 Days Prior:

Vitamin E or Fish Oil supplements (Increases bleeding and sensitivity)

Tweezing, waxing, or threading the brow area
(No hair removal within 5 days of your appointment)
(Increases bleeding and sensitivity)
2 Weeks Prior:
-
DO NOT TINT your eyebrows within 2 weeks of your appointment.

No Tanning or sun exposure (no sunburned skin)

No Harsh Facial Products like Panoxyl, or Retin-A, facials (home or professional) , waxing, dermaplaning, or exfoliating treatments
4 Weeks Prior:
• No Prescription retinoids like Tretinoin, or Differin
3 Month Prior:
• No Botox 3 less than 3 months before your appointment.

💋 Lip Blush Pre-Care & Requirements
📌 COLD SORE WARNING – NOT OPTIONAL
Even if you have never had a cold sore, you are still at risk of an outbreak after lip tattooing. I require all clients to take a preventative antiviral to protect your lips and your healed results.
✔️ Choose one of the following options:

Prescription antiviral (Zovirax or Valtrex): 3–5 days before + 3 days after

L-Lysine supplement (1000mg daily): 3–5 days before + 3 days after
📌 This must be repeated for every session, including touch-ups. No exceptions.
You are responsible for securing this medication before your appointment.
Talk to your doctor, dentist, OBGYN, or telehealth provider.
Pre-Care Guidelines:
• Exfoliate and moisturize your lips with a sugar scrub + Aquaphor 3–5 days before
• No fish oil, Advil, Vitamin E, or other blood-thinning supplements/meds for 1 week
• No caffeine or alcohol for 2–3 days before
• Hydrate well—drink water regularly leading up to your appointment
• Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle if you’re sensitive to pain
• Lip filler must be done at least 4 weeks before your lip blush appointment

✅ POLISHED Lash Extension Pre-Care
👁️ Lash Extension Prep
• Arrive with clean lashes and eyelids
• Use oil-free makeup remover before your appointment
• Do not wear lash strips, mascara, eyeliner, glitter, or eyeshadow
• No oily skin or heavy creams on the forehead or eyelids

👁️ Eyeliner Tattoo Pre-Care
To protect your eyes and ensure the best healed results, please follow all instructions below before your eyeliner tattoo appointment.
❌ DO NOT BOOK IF YOU:

Have active styes, blepharitis, pink eye, or dry, irritated eyes

Have eyelash extensions on (must be removed at least 5 days before)

Are using Lash Serums (must stop at least 4 weeks before your appointment)
-
Had Lasik or eye surgery within the past 6 months (doctor clearance required if within 12 months)
-
Wear contact lenses (must bring glasses instead and avoid lenses for 24 hours post-procedure)
✔️ EYELINER PREP INSTRUCTIONS:
• Stop using lash serums (Latisse, Babe Lash, etc.) 4–6 weeks before your appointment
• Remove all lash extensions at least 5 days prior
• Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment
• Avoid heavy eye makeup, mascara, or false lashes for at least 24 hours before
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners (see main prep section)
• No eyelash tinting or lifting for at least 2 weeks prior
